No. Honestly its a HORRIBLE car to drive. It looks absolutely amazing, but the wheezy engine and terrible transmission ruin it. I got a 2014 as a loaner car and I hated every minute of it.

dont get the IS250. the 350 is a much better deal. you lose literally .1 MPG between 2WD 250 and AWD 350 because the 250 motor has to work so much harder

Under powered for the car and paired to a 6-speed auto compared to the 3.5's 8-speed.

Motor trend says it's smooth, so it has that going for it I guess.

they are both v6's

my mom has the last gen IS250. an 08. its not a BAD motor. but its over burdened in that car (at least with the AWD we have) and the fuel economy isnt great. its remarkably smooth and quiet. but thats about it. the 3.5 is a much better motor over all.

They're not atrocious. I agree with most that they look better with the front plate, a big euro-style one. Without it there's no real line to break up the massive grille. There truly are worse cars out there than this one. From the rear 3/4 view I think it's best.

Still, it's a really heavy car. My IS300 has more power and is lighter. I honestly would wait for the IS200t with a turbo 2.0L 4cyl. It'll have more power than the IS250 (and my IS300 at that).

If it looks BETTER with a plate, therein lies the problem. Look at the GS-F, it has a piece of grill that divides the spindle and it looks 100x better than the IS.
